Legally Authorised to Prepare and Submit EIAs in Fiji

In Fiji, Environmental Impact Assessments may only be prepared and submitted by consultants registered with the Ministry of Environment under the Environment Management Act 2005.

Registration is limited to professionals who meet strict qualification and experience criteria, demonstrate a proven EIA track record, and adhere to a formal Code of Practice. This framework maintains consistency, credibility, and professional standards in environmental assessment.
